At 11:01 p.m. last night, Claycomo Police pursued a vehicle in which they believed there was a drunk driver. The pursuit continued south on I-35 from Claycomo and then into Gladstone. Kansas City Police deployed Stop Sticks, but that was our only involvement in the vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle lost control, went off the road and struck a house in the 5500 block of North Troost. The house sustained what appeared to be minimal damage. The driver/suspect ran from the crash, but KCPD took him into custody shortly thereafter and turned him over to Claycomo PD.
