According to eyewitnesses, the post office shut down at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday this week with personnel telling patrons they were headed out to lunch. When customers returned at 4:05 p.m., they found the doors still locked and no explanation for the prolonged closure. The location was also closed for most of Wednesday as well.

Slightholm's package, which was sent via Priority Mail from California, was supposed to arrive in three days, but the delay left her frustrated and concerned about the efficiency of the postal service.
