Oak Park placed first in the 2023 Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association State Championship Co-ed Large division. This is the first time in 19 years the school’s cheer team has won a state title. Competition was Dec. 9 and 10 in Cape Girardeau. The team was also named MCCA Regional Champs and NCA Regional Champs from National Cheerleaders Association. “We are extremely proud of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence in all they do,” said cheer coach Kelsey Mayabb.
