"I appreciate our Gladstone PD very much but I just got ran up on by an officer thinking I was stealing my own car while I was in my driveway after going to QuikTrip," the resident shared in a humorous social media post. " I’m glad they’re keeping an eye out considering how bad break-ins have been lately but… I must admit if I had a wild hair I certainly wouldn’t steal a FORD. "

"It was an honest mistake, and what’s the harm in checking," the resident commented in response to the incident. "Our other car got RANSACKED not that long ago & it WAS locked. You could see they had some kind of tool to get the window down and they had a hay day."
