Gladstone Neighborhoods: Vehicle Break-In Attempts

Gladstone, MO – February 27, 2025

Residents of Gladstone are on high alert after reports of suspicious activity in two separate neighborhoods.

A still of suspect
In the Devon area near NW 68th St on Feb 24th, a resident has raised concerns about a man in a Dodge truck who has been going door-to-door and taking pictures of vehicles parked in driveways. Local authorities have urged residents to be vigilant and report any similar incidents. While the purpose of the man's actions remains unclear, the unsettling nature of his behavior has prompted several neighborhood watch groups to remind residents to lock their doors and remain cautious.

Meanwhile, another alarming incident occurred in the Carriage Hills neighborhood. A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, reported a potential car break-in attempt around 10:35 p.m. on Feb 22nd. Three males were spotted attempting to break into a neighbor’s vehicle, and later, the resident’s own car. One of the suspects was wearing a ski mask and an Oak Park High School hoodie. The other two individuals were seen fleeing south on North Jackson.

The incidents have sparked concerns among locals, particularly with the increased vehicle-related crimes. Authorities encourage homeowners to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately. Police are investigating both incidents, and local residents are advised to take extra precautions to secure their property.
