A Celebration of Blues Music, Community, and Summer Vibes
Gladstone, a city steeped in rich musical tradition, is gearing up to host its annual musical extravaganza, the Gladstone Summertime Bluesfest. Scheduled for May 17 and 18 at Linden Square, located at 602 NE 70th St, this two-day event promises to be a treat for music enthusiasts and summer revelers alike.
Since its inception, the Gladstone Summertime Bluesfest has been a highlight on the city's cultural calendar, drawing in Blues aficionados from not only the local community but also from surrounding cities, counties, and even states. What started as a modest gathering has now blossomed into a must-attend event, thanks to its stellar lineup of musicians and vibrant atmosphere.
Attendees can expect to groove to the soulful tunes of blues artists while enjoying a variety of delectable treats. From brats and hot dogs to popcorn and nachos, there will be something to satisfy every craving. Admission to the festival is a suggested $5 donation, making it accessible to all members of the community.
However, it's important to note that while furry friends are cherished in Gladstone, they will have to sit this one out. In accordance with Gladstone City Ordinance, no dogs will be allowed at Bluesfest. Additionally, while attendees are welcome to bring their own food and coolers, all coolers are subject to search upon entry.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, certain regulations will be enforced. Grilling will not be permitted on the premises, and outside alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited within Linden Square. These measures are aimed at maintaining a family-friendly environment where everyone can relax and soak in the music without any disturbances.
As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, the Gladstone Summertime Bluesfest serves as a perfect opportunity to kick back, unwind, and celebrate the joys of summer while immersing oneself in the timeless melodies of the blues. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready to experience the magic of the Gladstone Summertime Bluesfest.
